INTERNATIONAL ARCHERY GATHERING IN ALFACAR
In contrast with the monotony of official competitions, there are more and more popular “social” competitions, in which competition is as important as sharing experiences with other sportsmen and women.

Besides offering a wide offer of social activities, our Archers’ Gathering is based, once more, on the use of silhouette targets which guarantee the originality of the difererent shooting competitions. This year we’ll try to consolidate the international character of our Gathering, welcoming archers from all over the world who wish to join us in our most important shooting competition.

You’ll be warmly welcome in Alfacar if you decide to join us.

SCHEDULE:

Friday, October 10th:

4:00 p.m.
Reception of archers.
Shooting (out of competiton) at the club’s shooting field.

9:00 p.m.

Barbecue

Saturday, October 11th.

- 11:00 a.m.- Reception of archers. Shooting (out of competition) at the club’s shooting field.
- 1:30 p.m.- Seafood paella at the club facilities.
- 3:00 p.m.- Archers’ Gathering in “Sierra de Alfaguara”
- 4:00 p.m.- First Silhouettes Route.
- 9:00 p.m.- Barbecue



Sunday, October 12th.

- 8:30 a.m.- Archers’ Gathering in “Sierra de Alfaguara”.
- 9:30 a.m.- Second Silhouettes Route.
- 12:00 p.m.- Special shooting
- 1:30 p.m.- Closing lunch at a restaurant. Prize-giving ceremony.



REGISTRATION

The registration fee is:

o 45 euros per archer (same amount for accompanying guests).
o 35 euros for children (under 16).

The maximum number of archers accepted will be 160. (We’ll respect the order of registration).
Deadline: Friday, October 3rd, 12:00 a.m.



RULES OF THE COMPETITION:

We’ll follow the regulations for silhouette shooting routes proposed to the FATA by the CTA Alfacar (Very similar to 3D regulations, with minor differences).

CATEGORIES:

The Gathering will have three different competitions:

- Men
- Women
- Children (under 16 years old at the beginning of competition).


For Men and Women, we’ll have the following categories:

o Straight Bow
o Recurve Bow
o Classic Bow
o Mechanical Bow
o Free Bow (any of the above)


PRIZES

The Gathering will award prizes in all categories (if there are at least five archers in the same category) for:

INDIVIDUAL ARCHERS:

o 1st: Champions “6th Alfacar Archers’ Gathering”
o 2nd.
o 3rd.

TEAMS:

The three best teams will be awarded a silhouette.

The score for the teams’ competition will add the three best scores in instinctive (recurve and straight) bow of the members of a team (with at least four archers per team).

CAMP:

You can camp in the same location as the place of the competition, in the "Campamento Rural de la Sierra de La Alfaguara".
- It´s free and includes basix needs: water, electricity, showers, restrooms, a bar, etc.
- It´s conveniently located about 15 km from Granada city and 4 Km from our club.
